Lost Sheep Surfboard Art Project
this past spring I felt compelled to add another board to my quiver. I was expecting a nice hurricane season with big swells and even bigger waves so I decided to get a short board. For all of you that don't comprehend what I'm saying up to this point, just view the video haha.
I bought a Lost Mayhem 6'4 used for $200...what a f%#king steal! The whole summer I was hoping for larger surf but it never came when I was free so....I decided to go ahead and make my board custom and personalize it.
Lost is a surfboard and lifestyle company. Their mascot is a black sheep with black sunglasses. Their other logo is a planet that resembles Saturn. They have some of the best surfboard artists to customize the boards at the factory, like legend Drew Brophy.
Check out what I created at the mid to nose and let me know how u like it.

Beautiful work. Thanks for sharing the process with us. It’s been my dream to pimp out surfboards as well. It’s great to see your work.

you can use any type of clear spray paint as long as you apply 2-4 coats depending on how much wear the area will get. Brushing on clear coat might result in brush strokes.

The Sheep Logo is inspired by Minor Threat.

before paint pens I stripped my board of all wax/sand/dirt used rubbing alcohol to do a final cleaning. No sanding just lightly penciled on the freehanded design and put down 1-3 coats with the paint pens. I used water based paint pens in case of changes or mess ups. Krylon clear matte finish was used to seal the painted design. Then I went out and surfed.
